Don’t overthink this one, Dawg Pound. Garrett is the best player in the draft, and there’s no quarterback in this year’s class good enough to take over him.

Despite multiple QB-needy teams picking in between Cleveland’s two top-15 selections, I won’t be surprised if one of the top three passers in this class falls to this slot. If Trubisky measures in shorter than we initially expected, he could be the one who drops. He’s got his flaws and only one year of starting experience, but he’s an upgrade with more upside than anyone currently on the roster.

If the Browns don’t address corner with either of their first-rounders, it should be a top priority at this pick. Lucky for them, it’s an extremely deep class this year, which should allow a talented playmaker like White to fall to them here.

Depth and versatility are vital in the trenches, and Pocic gives the Browns an extra helping of both. With experience at both guard and center, the physical and athletic former Tiger who could end up replacing Cam Erving if he doesn’t develop as expected.

His performance at the Senior Bowl should boost his stock, but his lack of elite speed should show at the combine, which could cause his hype to level out by the time draft weekend rolls around. If he’s still on the board here, he’s a huge steal as a polished pass-catcher who can start immediately and be the perfect compliment to the explosive Corey Coleman.

Duke Johnson is an explosive weapon on third downs and passing situations, but he could use a reliable running mate who can churn out the tough yards between the tackles. Perine was less flashy than his counterpart Joe Mixon for the Sooners, but he’s got an NFL frame and would thrive in a two-back system with Johnson.

The Browns need to get younger and deeper along the defensive line, and there should be plenty of intriguing mid-round prospects to choose from. Rochell showed off his versatility, power and quickness during Senior Bowl practices, and could be a solid value here.

Corner isn’t the only spot in the Cleveland secondary that could use some upgrades. This year’s safety class is loaded, which should push some quality talent into the later rounds. Woods should be a perfect example, as a well-rounded prospect with the skill set to quickly develop into a solid starter.

Another athletic defender flying under the radar, Lee would be a great Day 3 target for any team looking for immediate special teams help with starter upside. The 6-3, 240-pounder has racked up 284 tackles over the past three seasons, 41 of them behind the line of scrimmage.

Day 3 picks are all about maximizing value, and tight end is another deep position this year that could provide some of the best late-round bargains. After recovering from a crazy incident involving his girlfriend dousing him with boiling water, Smith showed off impressive athleticism at the Senior Bowl, and has the size and skill set to create mismatches for opposing defenses.

Again, depth and value. Holden has experience at both guard and tackle, and was effective against some of the best competition the SEC had to offer. A strong performance at the East-West Shrine Game led to a late Senior Bowl invite, and Holden wasted no time holding his own. If he’s available here, it’s a solid pick.
