The Company had over 12,000 employees as at 31 December 2015. IGT PLC was formed as a business combination shell company on 11 July 2014 under the name Georgia Worldwide Limited. On 16 September 2014, it changed its legal name to Georgia Worldwide PLC, and on 26 February 2015, it changed its legal name to International Game Technology PLC. IGT said the cost-cutting measures will translate into savings of $30 million in the current fiscal year and $50 million annually in coming years. The company, which has headquarters in Las Vegas.
